my advice is stick to a 600, and i really dont know too much about it being fuel injected other than it picks up faster but no offense if shes just gonna be learning on how to get the hang of a 600 thats a jump from a 250 so id stick to something regular.. i have my bike lowered and its soooooooooo awesome i used to ride tippy toe and now i can be flat footed oh god was that nice!! they sell lowering links for really cheap you just gotta look around my old bike '92 seca 2 was a 600 which i learned on and upgraded to a '98 yzf 600 and let me tell ya.. boy what a difference! that sucker i was so scared to ride at first because it picked up sooooooooo much better and quicker.. theres no hurry in learing for real..my 2 cents =)
