Stupid safety feature!!!!! The day I bought my bike I rode it back to work from lunch.
After work, I go out to the parking lot, fire it up, kick it into gear......dies.
Huh? I've owned a ton of bikes (almost all older models) and none had that dumb little switch.
So after several starts and a string of cuss words I still can't get the bike to move. Then, as an after thought I lifted the kickstand before dropping into gear. Lo and behold, the bike runs.
I was in the habit (well, I still do it alot) of putting it in gear, then sweeping my foot to raise the stand before moving out.
To this day not a week goes by I don't do that. At least I'm not the only one. It happens all the time.
