I have an '06 Hayabusa that I ride with my wife on the back 99% of the time.
I ordered the data acquisition, the blue silicone coolant hose kit, the carbon rear section exhaust kit and the carbon front fender. So far the data acquisition and the exhaust is here. Now all I'm waiting on is the FRIGGIN" BIKE!!!

The 08's are out now.
I sold my CBR and I'll be buying one this spring when I return from Iraq. I am beyond excited!
ducati1098.net has a ton of good info also.

The current ones that are being sold as 08s are re-badged 07s... according to some inside sources, which may be right or wrong, who knows. But the MSRP has risen $1,000 for the same bike.

So is everyone with the 1098 happy with the performance so far? I am going to be getting another bike eventually, but whenever it is, it will be an '09.

The bike performs flawlessly in my uneducated opinion. Other more experienced riders might say differently, but I absolutely love it! I've had it at two track days and it makes me seem like a better rider than I really am. It makes it easy to go fast on.
Now for the hard part. The bike is for sale. I can't continue to ride it on the street. If I'm lucky, I'll only lose my license. If I'm not, I'll die. I bought a new R6 to turn into a track bike and will be relegated to doing track days around the southeast US.
Anyone want a blazing fast '07 1098? 7500 miles on it. It needs absolutely nothing except the 7500 mile service.

Havent been on here in awhile
Well I got the base with the Termi system...the Showa suspension I assure you is more than 99.99 % can handle.....dont get me wrong the S is even that much better...but from a performance stand point, shit, maybe 10 people in the US could ride a base with the termi to its max......
So why pay the extra $ 5000?
Ummm to directly answer your question, there is little doubt this bike makes you a better rider than you are...I have never felt a front end react so well, and the rear, forgetaboutit, you just pour on that throttle and it gently pushes out and roars to redline........My difficulty with the bike has been how to keep the front end down exiting any corner....much less form a dead stop...
This bike will make you faster, no ifs ands or buts.
I went to different gearing and that has made the bike so much nicer on the ST, 1 down in the front....
Anyway it gets rid fo the CHUG factor in 1st....which is really annoying when you are splitting lanes....
